I think I've always been a chemist.
Since I could carry a camera, I’ve experimented with narrative. Take little bit of story. Layer in the perfect music. Add heat to produce something new and memorable, while working around the truth that if you put standard in, you get standard output. Repeat.
For years, I have investigated how visual storytellers, including myself, create unique meaning, from the lenses they chose to the soundtrack to the dynamic camera setups. Today, among my new chemical equations, I'm using AI and technology to enhance the human experience and move my ideas from thought to thing in order to spontaneously combust new experiences: Stories, apps, automations, and audio experiences. I’m drawing unexpected connections between data and music generation, inspecting vintage lenses through science and art, and biometric data with mental health.
I would call that alchemy.
I'm Michelle. And I see molecules.
